Empty-Fridge Sangria Recipe

This sangria recipe is great if you don’t have many ingredients in the house. Sangria can be made with red wine, white wine, and sparkling wine.

Usually you do have lime juice and mint! As long as you keep a little green bottle of lime juice in the fridge along with a container of mint, you're all set!

Ingredients

1 750ml bottle of wine, whatever you have
4 Tbsp lime juice
1 1/2 Tbsp sugar
Random fresh fruit if available
Mint leaf
2oz liqueur if available

Mix all but the mint leaf and let it chill. Pour over ice, add mint leaf, and serve!

You can use any liqueur you've got to give it that kick - rum, vodka, brandy, you name it. It's also a good idea to keep a bag or two of frozen berries or fruit in the freezer. That way you've always got a few to drop into a glass.

Note: I created these sangria recipes and have had them online for years. If you find similar sangria recipes elsewhere, it's because someone copied my idea. I do appreciate it when visitors write in to warn me about the plagiarism - but usually there's not much I can do about it! What's really funny is when they copy my design right down to my sangria pitcher. That's a bit much :)
