Alsace Wine Information

Old Field Winery
Long Island, New York

Visit Date: January 2005

Because we'd had so much fun on our September 2003 Visit, we tried to make this our very first stop when we returned to Long Island in January 2005. Unfortunately because the island is so quiet at this time of year, the winery owners had decided to take the month off. I did get to chat with the owner for a short while as she fed her wonderful flock of chickens. Then she headed off to prune the vines, as we continued on our way!

Here are a collection of photos to give you a sense of what the winery is like in the winter months.

If you're interested in chickens and roosters, I also took a lot of Fowl Photos too!
