Winter Solstice

Dandelion Wine Ah, Winter Solstice. We had some friends over to celebrate and to pour out the fruits of our labor from spring - the Dandelion Wine that had been sitting in the basement for six months or so. We only had two bottles, and they were very dusty. The bottoms of the bottles were full of sediments. We carefully poured off a glass for each of us.


It was delicious! Like a mix between grand marnier and ice wine, and a bit of tartness too. A glowing orange-gold color, and a sweet, orangy, raisiny flavor. Quite, quite nice. Here is a shot of the sediment:
