Lisa Shea Forums Parakeets General Parakeet Chat Is my keet fussing at me?

On of Keillors favorite noises is a sort of "pst" or "tsch" noise. (That's the closest I can get phonetically, sorry) We used to think he was sneezing, but he does it so often (even though he's healthy) and it really seems deliberate.

Does any one know what I'm talking about/ have a keet that does this, too?

If it is on purpose, what does this sort of noise mean?

My keets "sneeze" and that is what it sounds like... sorry if I was no help.

Sneezy lil' keets, they sneeze alot, they cannot use tissues so they have to sneeze very very often to keep there nostrils clear.If it was a sick sneeze you would know , most often they just make a lil' "tcst" noise thru the day.

My keets make the same noise usually right after they drink water.

Wow I've never heard my keets sneeze! Maybe Kitty once but that was it! And I interact with them off and on all day. It's sooooo cute when they yawn!

See and i haven't seen Coco yawn lol. It's easy to miss stuff, the snezzing is so little u may have not even realized it was a sneeze.

ny keet does that all the time, i thought he was the only one...lol
