Lisa Shea Forums Parakeets General Parakeet Chat PLAYGYM COMPLETED!

I finally finished my playgym, it did take awhile but it's finally done. I will probably change it around a bit more because I want to add a few beads and hemp toys. I got too excited and posted the pics before I did that but once I add the toys I will make I will post more pics. Thank you guys for the great ideas and Jloc thank you for letting me know about the markers and that they were safe to use. As you can see I went crazy coloring. I colored a whole ladder and all the letters and even stuck some letters to the the ladder. I couldn't help myself. But anyways I hope the gym looks good. Well my brave girl Panchita already flew to the gym and it seems she loves it, she was singing and even bobbing her fluffly little head. While my other 2 dorks won't get near it, they are terrified. I'm hoping when they see Panchita laughing it up they will give it a try and see that it is of no harm and join in the fun and have a blast with it.

I bought them a swing through Ebay, since they love swings so much but the swing is huge and is too big for their cage so that means they need a bigger cage which I'm getting for them soon, as soon as I get my 4th baby.

Thank you Chilalli and making a playgym is not that hard, just a few dowel poles, toys, ladders, hemp, rope perches, and extras and you can make anything you set your heart for.

And thanks Shadow! Right now I have a 18x30x18, it's a flight cage. They are all in the cage but it's not big enough for four, I don't think even for three but since my keets get a lot of playtime out of the cage it's fine for them. I wouldn't have a cage of that size if they were in all day. The cage I want to get is this one:

About the markers, I used Crayola washable non-toxic markers. Jloc called his vet and asked if these markers were safe to use for birds and he gave me the okay and I went nuts.







Cuchito looking at Panchita from down below, he's starting to realize how fun it can be.


So what I did was help Cuchito up and put him near Panchita, she being the Queen that she is, pushes Cuchito off the perch.


And so I have to put Cuchito at a lower perch where he is happy and safe.


Panchita is happier also!
