Anyone have any suggestions on how to introduce a new keet to bath time? My bird is still new and is slowly begining to trust me now (He doesn't climb on my finger yet, but he will let me pet him). I wanted to introduce him to taking a bath. I've heard some people put theirs in the sink and let the water run, others take them in the shower with them, and finally I cool 've heard others sometimes just mist them with tepid water from a spray bottle. I think I'd either do the sink or the spray bottle initially to get him used to it. Anyone have any tips to introducing him to taking a bath?

I got my bird this bird bath at that you just hang on the door of the cage: http://petco.com/Shop/Product.aspx?...025&sku=70190&familyID=5589& , so far my bird hasn't really figured out what she should do in the bath, the times I've seen her sitting on it she was just getting a drink but at least if she does want to take a bath she can. Some birds prefer spray bottles over baths, though my bird doesn't really like it see what yours likes best.

Maybe you can put around an inch or two of water in your bathroom sink and let the water drip a bit. I used that with Celeste and she seems to like it better that way, with supervision of course. WHenever i put a container in there with her she doesn't seem to know what to do with it. She tries to bathe in her water container instead! I like the sink Idea better though. Just make sure it's well cleaned and well rinsed off before and after you use it. And plus it keeps the dirty bird bath hassle at bay.. Which is a plus for me.

Great ideas!

You can also try misting them with a spray bottle filled with warm water. Don't spray them directly but you can spray the toys and the cage bars and if your bird likes it then you can spray him directly only if he enjoys the water. My birds prefer being misted than using a tub. Good luck!

Introducing your bird to bath time can be a delightful experience for both you and your feathered friend. It's essential to make this introduction gradual and stress-free. Begin by placing a shallow dish in their cage and let them explore it at their own pace. If you encounter unexpected water-related issues, such as leaks, don't hesitate to contact Emergency Plumbers in Sevenoaks for swift and efficient assistance, ensuring your home stays safe and dry. Gently misting them with lukewarm water can also mimic a natural bathing experience. Remember, a calm environment is key to your bird feeling secure during this process.

Introducing your bird to bath time can be a delightful experience, enhancing their well-being and cleanliness. Start by choosing a shallow dish or a specialized bird bath that fits your feathered friend's size. It's essential to create a calm environment, as sudden changes can stress your bird. Gently place them near the water, allowing them to explore at their own pace. You might want to use a fine mist spray for smaller birds to mimic natural rain, making it more inviting. Just like a remodeling company transforms a home, bath time can rejuvenate your bird's spirit and promote healthy plumage, ensuring they feel fresh and lively.

Introducing your bird to bath time can be a fun and rewarding experience. Birds naturally love to bathe, but some might need encouragement. Start by creating a calm environment, like using a shallow dish or taking advantage of double sink vanity styles to give them more space. This setup allows you to dedicate one side of the sink for a gentle spray or light trickle of water, which can make your bird feel more comfortable. Keep the water lukewarm, and always monitor your bird closely. With patience and care, bath time can become a favorite part of their routine!
