When we very first got Nazo, we were always home. So when we planned a weekend in Florida, we actually considered taking her with us so she wouldn't be alone. We took her too the vet for a certificate and everything. But she was so stressed by the vet visit that we realized she'd be even more stressed by a flight and trip. It probably wouldn't be soothing for her at all. She'd probably be much happier home without us for a few days, than in a strange hotel where we were gone all day anyway.

So we left her home, which was a wise decision. And going forward we just had a friend stop by daily any time we traveled.

How do you guys handle travel?

Parakeets and travel might seem like an unusual pairing, but these vibrant birds can inspire adventure with their colorful charm and lively personalities. For those embarking on the Everest Base Camp Trek the resilience and adaptability of parakeets serve as a fitting metaphor. Just as parakeets thrive in diverse environments, trekkers must adapt to shifting altitudes and weather. Though parakeets are often found in tropical climates, their tenacious spirit mirrors the determination needed to conquer the rugged Himalayan trails. Whether planning your trek or marveling at the natural world, let the parakeet's vivacity remind you to embrace the journey wholeheartedly.
