I have 1 cockatiel and 8 parakeets. I was wondering if they can eat the same seed mix. Those of you who have both types of birds,do you use cockatiel food and parakeet food? Can they eat each others food? I was thinking I could make a mix of food that they both could eat. Is this possible? If so, what would it include?

the both of them can eat fresh veggies, fruits, berries but when it comes down to pellets and seeds each has it own kind.but they will eat each others seeds if given the chance.you can bet when smokey makes his once a day visit to the big cage he's going inside and eat some of their seeds.the amount of food groups in the seeds bag are different.the tiels have more of a variety in theirs.one shouldn't make it a habit of just giving tiels keet food,it takes away from their diet.the millet is the same.
