It is already beginning to get very hot here. I can not possibly live without an ac. I was wondering if its okay for parakeets to be in the same room while the ac is on. They arent in the way of the cold air , but its still becomes very cold in the room. is this okay for them?

If it falls under 65 degrees they will start getting sick. I think it's best not going under 68. Also make sure to try and keep the tempature constant.. don't let it get extremely hot if you can help it and then turn on the ac up on full blast and make the room freezing in a few minutes, rapid tempature change is bad for them as well. As long as you do that, it's fine.

I think you've gotten some sound advice from Alyssa.

Alyssa (as usual) is right on the money with her answer.

We set our thermostat at about 72...sometimes we have to adjust it but for the most part that's where it stays. It's comfortable, yet doesn't harm the birds. Also, just make sure you keep them out of any drafts. If you crank the AC down, I would keep their cage partially covered for added warmth. Like Alyssa said...rapid temperature change is just horrid for them.

Parakeets are sensitive birds that require a stable and comfortable environment to thrive. One potential issue that pet owners may encounter is the impact of air conditioning on their parakeets.Air conditioning can cause the air in a room to become dry, which can have a negative impact on a parakeet's respiratory system. Must visit split ac to get the best ac at affordable prices. Dry air can cause irritation in their lungs and airways, leading to coughing and other respiratory problems. Additionally, drafts from air conditioning vents can cause discomfort and stress to parakeets.

The air conditioner has become an essential appliance for creating a comfortable indoor environment, especially during hot summer months. With advancements in technology, air conditioners now come with a wide range of features and options to suit various needs. One notable addition to enhance the functionality and convenience of air conditioners is the availability of mini split accessories. These accessories complement the performance of the air conditioner and provide additional benefits. Whether it's a wireless remote control, programmable thermostat, condensate pump, or specialized filters, mini split accessories offer improved control, efficiency, and customization. By incorporating these accessories into your air conditioning system, you can enhance its overall functionality and ensure optimal comfort in your living or working space.
