Hi All, Sorry to report that the first chick did not survive, but I'm not surprised. Mom spent a ton of time in and out of the box, she didn't seem to have a clue as to what to do. Then the second chick hatched. Mom is stuck like glue to it. When I removed the dead baby it looked like it had never been fed. I'm hoping that instinct has kicked in and Mom has figured it out. Next egg due to hatch tomorrow. Fingers crossed.
