OK I know some of you don't like spiders, but it's only a tiny preview photo, and I love spiders! The poor sad word of the misunderstood spider -

I agree wholeheartedly. I adore spiders. I take many, many photos of spiders. For a while we had a daddy long legs (not quite a spider) as a "pet" in our kitchen window. I was so happy. He hung out in our basil plant. We called him "Cinco".

My favorite spider... an Indian Ornamental.

We love bugs in my household. We also have pet hissing cockroaches and Dubia roaches. They are so cool!

I have a great admiration for spiders. I will have to say there was a time in my life I was TERRIFIED of them. I decided that I needed to get over that for my own good. I started studying them, watching them and have come to admire them.

During my frightened days I came out of my front door and there was a huge spider on the walkway. I stomped it and it flew into a thousand little spiders. An arachnophobs worst nightmare. Well I did learn that it was a Wolf spider and they carry their young on their back. Since then I have learned so much about spiders.

Wolf spiders are common here in Minnesota, I think of them as "pseudo tarantulas" I used to own many tarantulas and scorpions but when I became a parent, I never got new ones as they passed away because I want to avoid venomous animals (no matter how mild) until my boy is old enough to understand.

The Indian ornamental uses bright yellow underneath it's legs as a threat display... It's pretty awesome

In this part of Oklahoma we have a lot of tarantulas. Oklahoma tarantulas are very dossal and quite often in the fall in rocky, brushy areas you will see them crossing the road.
