Jan,

I think that if you actually type "Moron" into the youtube search engine then Palin's interview with Katie Couric immediately comes up. grin

Ya know I have studied WWII - ya know the nazis, the reich and all of that jumbo and her ideals run right along with that but in the end I cannot say that any of them were just "stupid" but Ms. Palin is just plain STUPID

Interestingly, I was going to add that it is quite terrifying what some human beings will do to other human beings ~ often for religious reasons.

actually i thin you have to be stupid to accept the philosophies on offer in nazi germany. any intelligent person can see the benefits of universal altruism and egalitarianism. the only thins which will lead a person to argue against these things are selfishness and bigotry, both of which are forms of stupidity borne of conditioning. in the case of nazi germany the conditioning came from the catholic church (i get sick and tired of the endless 'adolf was an atheist' crap religious apologists come out with), and in the case of greed orented politics now the conditioning comes from the financial shitfight of reagan and thatcher in the 80's and the philosophies of disgusting individuals like ayn rand.

but there you go - the human species if staggeringly stupid. it is this that leaves people open to these kinds of conditioning.

Jan,

I really don't want to argue the specifics of the entire Nazi (national socialist) philosophy however I will make a couple of broad statements here. Personally I see a complete parellel between corporatism and fascism simply because its the 99th percentile feeding all of their resources directly into the hands of the top 1 however the strange outcome of this phenomena is still guiding the cold hands of science today. DNA, missile, plasma, semiconductor and even color TV technologies came out of the reign of those b_stards and that my friend is just a couple out of the thousands of major discoveries they made in dozens of fields.

I guess if "progress" is worth the cost of humanity then our current route is well deserved.

Let me just make it clear before anyone goes and accuses me of being a nazi. My beliefs are on the opposite end of the scale kinda like the reds and blues on a light spectrum.

My beliefs are "anarchic" and "marxist" in their base but I gaze into the abyss of "progress" and the proof of success's are hard to deny. The only problem is that "Capitalism knows no limits" and we are on a planet with a nature based on limits so destruction is the only viable outcome.

hahah. i've always seem nazi germany as the birthplace of modern corporatism / capitalism. much the same as faschism in that there are no boundaries to the ideology. whether you're gassing jews or bombing arabs, its all the same to me. people end up dead while others end up rich.

according to your diagram i occupy a horizontal line across the middle - a natural position for me philosophically and physically.

Jan,

I used to be on the opposite side of the square tranquilized by the talking heads on AM radio, mad at the world and convinced that everyone was out to get my money. That's right everyone else was a fat and lazy slob sitting on the front porch drawing welfare and the goal was to get me a place in a corporate gated community somewhere it was safe and I still see that coming eventually.

I was just talking to my wife yesterday about how things have changed so much for the worst in our little neck of the woods. My wife now carries a handgun in her purse because she works with people all day in a charity environment and some of them are a little unstable and it's not just that she also has to work late sometimes and the parking lot that she has to walk in is right beside a park so it is the perfect place for a mugging or a raping.

I tell you this because I feel that the Republican influence has caused this type of atmosphere! People in my country are scared and quite frankly I think that the government is behind it. I don't think that Al'Queda even existed and after close research it is my opinion that there is no possibility that 9/11 was orchestrated by the idiots that the FBI say it was. Personally I follow the thousands of peer reviewed physicists, engineers, professors, scientists and Military officers that swear by their own repute that 9/11 was an inside job.

I am just an Electronics Engineer though I have seen old buildings demolished and the fact that fire had never taken down any metal structure in history until 9/11/2001 and then it just happened to destroy three of the most modern steel structures in new york in less than six hours is extremely improbable. Id say the stats would be 10,000 to 1 at least.

We are living in a pseudo fascist state and most people don't have any idea whats going on someone powerful needs to come out and tell the people just what is going on.

I know that there is probably a thread dedicated to the 9/11 event but I just had to input that little bit of info because there is not a day that goes by when I don't think of the friend I had in that building. He went to UK and graduated the top of his class in business one year before me though I was in engineering we still had some fun times, and yes even nerds have fun in college. It cost me out the arse but I still had fun. in between projects.

This is a real sensitive subject with veterans of some of the IRAQ and Afghani wars. They cannot explain why they went to war and got all scarred up and it makes them angry and confused. sick I have actually seen that reaction more than once from a couple of them(Family) and it makes me sick. It's the same reaction my uncle has every time he tries to talk about vietnam - makes me angry and sick along with him. I hope the bush's die a horrible death just like reagan.

Please forgive me my Aura is as black as the coal I have burnt all of my adult life today. mad

yep - keep all your peoploe as frightened little individuals. divide and rule.

i could go on at length about 9/11....

you need acetylene to melt steel, not a few minutes of burning jet fuel - some 500 degrees cooler.

the only steel building ever to be brought down by fire. building in madrid burned for 24 h and didn't fail.

demolition sequences reported by firemen (who were immediately subject to a gagging order) and clearly visible demolition squibs.

prior knowledge throughout the administration. the bbc even reported the attacks 90seconds before they happened.

the only vertical collapse ever of a steel building. had never happened before both towers and building 7. never before and then three in a day. really?

reports of thermite traces on girders in the footings and clearly visible pools of molten metal present two weeks after the collapse. how did that get there after only 30 minutes or so of fire?????

the only plane crash on land ever where the flight recorder was apparently not recovered but the passport of on of the hijackers was. really??

there is more to bring up here than i have time for but i am sick to death of being treated like like some half witted 14 year old conspiracy theorist by people who believe the official story and frankly are morons who do not know what the f*** they are talking about. i have a background i science and construction and i i know enough architects engineers and aviation bods to know the official story is laughable.

it makes me real angry because people are literally choosing to be stupid. its just the same as the assent freely given to religion which puts morons like palin into power.

GRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!!!!!!!!!!!!

in the words of rage against the machine: WAAAAAAKE UUUUUUP!!!!!!

As always Jan you are less than delicate and more than right. I have so many friends on so many boards from around the world that inform "ME">>> frown daily about what is going on in my own D_mn country.

Janimal, Lanny just approved a post of a torrent on our site by Jeremy scahill called "Dirty Wars" and scahill is the one that wrote about blackwater before anyone knew who the h_ll they were so I would put my back into this guy. I've read it and some of the facts in this book are really scary. I would rate it up there wit the "pentagon papers" you know back in vietnam but what do I know. If he, Mr Scahill, is correct then Mr. Obama is not even really in charge of the military anymore and it's some sort of group of people above him, the senate and the house that actually makes out the kill orders or that's the what I got out of it.

About the torent, if it does not pick up speed then let me know and I will email the .pdf to you. Scahill allows us to put his stuff online by general copyright.
