Wow I think I have been stressing out sooo much that my brain has malfunctioned. frown Birdie stress + college work! How embarrassing. Hahaha Thanks though. smile

Yes, I have an avian vet on call and there is a water bowl on the cage floor! She currently has 4 eggs. Sorry about that! I get so anxious to blurt out all my questions that I forget to answer those... I will most definitely caaaalm down and "try" to enjoy the process. Haha

Goodnight! smile

Hmm I knew I would forget something... This is her second clutch. She laid only 1 egg about a year ago.

There's a shallow water bowl on the floor. My birds are so funny... They don't like water much and will flap their wings as if they're "splashing" in the water but they actually only dip their faces in!

maybe because the dish is too small for them to feel comfortable with actually going in or maybe to deep...but they will get it...im sure...ok i thought this was a second clutch ...and with the first one ...how did that work out...???

The only egg she laid during her first clutch broke. :'( I think she laid it from a perch and it fell and broke on the floor...

The water in the dish goes up to about between their chest and abdomen.. They are both very timid. lol My blue/white keet (the one in the middle of my profile picture) was veeeeeeeeery adventurous and encouraged the other 2 to try out all sorts of new things, but she died last year. :'( So now I have my 2 leader-less scaredy cats. lol

okkkk ...try making the water only deep enough to just barely reach their top of the legs i think what you have is too deep and they maybe are waiting for a diving board laugh ... and then stick some large leaf fresh veggie in it also...and that should do the trick after a bit...

that pic of cappy was actually initially a full view and i enlarged it and cropped it so its a portrait pic...i have had others posted but came back to that one and occasionally switch out the other picture like recently...thanks for the comment we all love seeing each others bird pictures...if that is a old pic id say its time for some new ones dontcha think giggle...

and ok now i remember you saying the egg she had cracked...thanks for reminding me of that.

well tonight and the next few days we are finally in for some really good rain and some with i guess thunder storms so when and if that happens here i wont be online during any storms with thunder and lightning...ill dodge in and out of the forum when i can between those.

be well stay calmmmm lol... wink

Hi wolfie,
Just checking in trying to catch up on threads.
Sounds like things are going well. Good job! Good for you not disturbing those eggs. It really is important. smile
Is there still just the 4 eggs? Is mama now sitting on them the majority of the time?
Looking forward to baby pics. Keep us posted?

There are currently 6 eggs. Hopefully she doesn't lay anymore!! It seems a little too much for her to handle. frown She sits on them pretty much all day and only comes out to poop or stretch her legs a bit.

Oh, something strange has been happening though... My male sometimes goes into the box. I was scared that he might be messing with the eggs, but when I peek inside the hole, he's just lying next to the female. Is he helping her sit on them or something??? It's actually really adorable to see. haha
