Lisa Shea Forums Parakeets General Parakeet Chat Can Budgies Eat Barley Weed/Leaves?

Hi everyone!
So my neighbor (10years) got a new baby budgie, and we both had experience in training/taming budgies so we started with that training 3 days ago (putting hand outside cage slowly, get budgie used to you, stay near always). AND, we've been putting herbal mix into her seed BUT we both have a feeling that she has been avoiding it. We wanted to give her veggies but ht sonly thing that my neighbor in her house at the moment was barley weed/leaves. So yeah, is barley weed/leaves edible for budgies?

P.S: My neighbor got her baby budgie on April 1st in the morning, she gave me a phone call that morning (I WAS AWARE IT WAS APRIL FOOLS) and was like "I got a baby budgie!!!".
