So I was home today and wanted to let the babies out for a bit. I left the cage where it was and opened the doors (usually I put the cage on the floor) I stuck a branch into the bars so they could climb out on it if they wanted, which they did.

Chirp got on the top doors...you know how they fold over and are flat so he can stand on them... and he did a dance. He spun in a circle around and around and bobbed his head and spun some more. I'm sure it was all for Pip's benefit but she was sitting on top of the cage pouting the whole time.
It was pretty cute. Since I wasn't feeling good I didn't get up and grab the video, but wish I had. He did this for a long time.

could this be his "sexy dance"? He seems pretty full of himself lately. He demolished the cuttle bone. It's in pieces all over the floor now. He might need a time out.

Its called the Vision. tall. large. is that the same one? It only folds in flat. when opened out it goes all the way down. No drawbridge that way, only when I open in. Does that make sense?
I ordered another one. I think someone on here has those chains to keep the doors from folding down too far so they can perch there too and I think I will try and get that going.
For now I just stick this branch into the front, test it out so I know it will hold and not fall when they hop around. They have a lot of fun. Now I'm in...now I'm out...now I'm back in...

I noticed today that Chirp has 3 flight feathers on each side, and Pips has 2.

ok they are all called the hagen vision thats the model here is a picture how we all set up the doors to open outward into a drawbridge...see also LANES post ...

he had a great idea of instead of using common white string he used the small lamp chains you can buy in any hardware store...

this is when i just weaved the white string thru both the doors ...works great just when closing doors make sure any excess string is OUTSIDE the cage... laugh

lanes idea is even simpler and looks neater too.
