Zal, you don't use apple cider, you use *apple cider vinegar*. It's a type of vinegar, there is also *white vinegar* but Illusive is talking about *apple cider vinegar* all three words are in the name of the vinegar. Do NOT use apple cider to clean the cage, that is a drink not a vinegar.

well even that zal i doubt seriously if that would KILL mites but ...your such a scatter brain im afraid to tell you anything else to use that WOULD kill them...the birds or the mites...lol

you didnt even read apple cider VINEGAR correctly so im too afraid to suggest anything stronger

Hey Zalgawi, I never really commented on your posts because they are always above my level. BUT in this case i dont think your bird should be in the same cage in which your other bird died in. Even if you cleaned it hard, all the bugs and stuff will still be sttracted to the cage because its old and stuff. But you should try the apple cider vinegar stuff first WITHOUT THE BRID IN THE CAGE.

oh, if i do get a new cage it will be alot bigger.

you have problems keeping a small cage clean...bigger is harder and needs more frequent cleanings and too big you cant put them in a tub...
