yes it is treatable zal ..mainly BY PREVENTION to begin with..thru better hygiene care (cleaning etc) and better diet.

However, that being said this should of never been allowed to progress as far as it has to begin with...seems you always wait till things are terrible before doing any avian vet visits. frown

you really need to step up your game zal as its your birds suffering horribly each time and losing them.

being so irresponsible when things start to show, as with this, it wasnt a sudden onset it has been building, is in excusable zal...

okay, im back from the vet. and she said that it could be a mite infection which also infected the nails. so anyway she gave me some ivermectin drops and i am ment to give lemonz a drop between the wings on the back once and to wait for 7 days. If nothing has changed i should do it 1 more time and finally then if nothing happens ill take her again.

it sure is a mite infection and a bad one also..and like i said this didnt just come about but you have been watching this happen...did she mention better cleaning habits in and around the cage ????

ive told you before to THOROUGHLY clean the cage and everything in it by breaking it all down and taking everything out and disenfecting it ...and the area around the cage as well...also washing any cage covers...

use ACV ...apple cider vinegar...and be sure to get into the cracks of things as these lil buggs are extremely tiny and get into EVERYTHING...

use a good soft scrub brush and make sure any wooden perches are completely dry before putting back or you will deal with bumble foot again possibly. sick

THANKS for the vet update info...but she should of mentioned to also clean up or that medicine wont do ANY GOOD . crazy

ok well thats VERY VERY good you took to the vet Zal proud of you for that for sure

however you need to do a thorough cleaning once a week EVERY week... smile

ok on the apple cider...its a type of vinegar...but not regular vinegar...you have to look in grocery stores where vinegar is sold and it will say pure apple cider vinegar.

put your cage in the tub...then take a pail and pour in a good amount of the apple cider vinegar with some very warm water...

then take a CLEAN soft brush get it into the bucket of warm water and apple cider vinegar and scrub everything...REALLY GOOD...throw the toys into the bucket when you do this so they are cleaning while your doing the cage and perches...but dont throw in the perches cuz they will get to wet so just scrub them too like the cage...and then set aside on a towel or paper towel

do a really good job getting into corners etc...then just sponge down with the rest of whats left in the bucket let sit a bit...then rinse good with HOT water...the cage and toys etc...then just let air dry

apple cider vinegar is not very expensive either...get a good size bottle of it so you have some for the next time too.
