Vet initially diagnosed gout, then drew fluid and found it was a bacterial infection in both joints, seems the antibiotic was not really getting through the joints because blood doesn't circulate there very much. He injected a different antibiotic into both joints but told me to continue giving orally also. He said he's not sure if shell make it she looks pretty rough.

He didn't know how she could have gotten that, hasn't seen it before, the only thing he could think of was a mosquito bite when I had her on the porch.

strange how he hasnt seen this before....especially where he is wildlife and those birds he treats are outside ...how odd...and mosquitos have been gone a long time i dont imagine you had her out any time recently...it was the night of the 18th you left the window open then noticed the next day she has was off and you saw all this begin?????? doesnt make sense to me...but lets hope this works

lets hope neither one of us loses power or at last not for awhile...gawd...cuz if we do...it will be awhile before we get it back...i just jacked the heat up some to give a little extra in the house to work with if we do...

and if that isnt enough my son is leaving here in six hours for a weeks hunting trip down in w.va with some friends...so if anything happens here...RUH RHOE big time....

I have another appt Tuesday if she makes it to inject some more. He said maybe a couple days. She is still puffy sleeping right now. He did mention it may be a resistant bacteria, or she may be too sick to bounce back.


When I told him what happened already with me,
He did mention the other vet was tops in their field, but that a lot of people did have trouble getting along with them, and they do charge through the roof.
He didn't know why they wanted the bloodwork and x ray but thought CeeCee was too weak.

By the way they have used cages there people have donated anyone live in the area.

they wanted blood work and x-ray in case it was what i was saying dani if you think about it they would HAVE to do that if suspecting perosis AND to rule it out or confirm it ...so thats why...also being as good as they are...and considering what ceecee had done today as well...ceecee would of managed those test...im surprised now again at this becuz from what you say this doctor didnt do x-rays...and he must be familar i would think with perosis at least i hope he would be...and thought of that...but if he is questioning why they would want to do that im not so sure

and its like being the top brain surgeon around dani...you charge more cuz you get more...in way of knowledge and training and expertise.

well we lost power already here for four hours so far then got it back at 7:30 for how long i dont know ..reports of it being out allll over tho so i hope you still got some there
