i dont recommend it for reasons even stated in another thread...very hard to keep them disenfected for one...it can become costly to do it right...it was quite the job when i built my outdoor aviary. its not like you can break it down for cleaning...ugh...

thank you illusive and cetan. Maybe i'll just buy a bigger cage. I just want something where they can stretch their wings and have more things to keep them entertained.Maybe something with a play top since cheekers will now come out of the cage and walk around on the top. He is now comfortable enough to fly around the house and when he gets jittery he goes right back to the cage or to my shoulder. storm will sit on the door now if it is open but will not go any further. But i am glad to see her making progress.

Also the Vision by Hagen will replace broken or damaged parts if you need it in the future. Mine is a single floor and Illusive's is a two story. Double the height of mine, but I am an avid supporter of this brand and style. It's strong and sturdy and has a flat roof and horizontal sides all around. I just love everything about it. The only thing is it's a definite table mount cage. I had to improvise in order to be able to hang mine from a stand.

Yes Illusive I did see the one you use. I love it! I think it would be perfect for Storm and Cheekers needs. I will Look on Ebay. Thank you both for your suggestions.

I would also consider a 31x22x39 flight cage - many available at Windy City, Bird cages for Less and other sites. The grate slides out for easy cleaning as does the bottom tray, it is on its own stand with wheels and a storage shelf. Big enough for about 6-8 budgies. Very easy to clean since once you slide out the grate just a rectangle with no hard to reach corners and easy to wipe down the sides. Most are powder coated metal so no need to worry about coating on wires coming off and there is more space lengthwise as opposed to height and budgies do fly from side to side. Often you can find one for about 150 including shipping
