It's been a while since i've been on here, but guess what everyone???

Pearl and Duke, my two cockatiels, laid two fertile eggs a while back. Today I came home from work and heart the tinniest, faintest chirps, and I looked in the nest box to still find unhatched eggs. However, when I hold the eggs to my ear, the chirps are very obviously coming from the eggs.

I never heard of this before. Is that normal?

When this happens, how long is it usually before the eggs hatch??

-SUPER excited almost new mommy

excuse me...anyone with any bird type can ask questions and is welcome here...

Hang on SR it wont be long however, i strongly advise not handling the eggs at all...you could mess up the babies ability to crack open and come out so leave it to them and mama...and dont poke about much..this is true also AFTER they are born ...the least interference the better..just let nature take its course naturally.

You're right. I just need to leave it all alone. Humph. Waiting is hard.
