You would take care of them the same as you would at home with the EXCEPTION of NOT letting them out be sure door is kept locked also....and instruct the maid service as well as have them make a note at the desk that the cleaning service and maid are NOT TO USE ANY CLEANING CHEMICALS OR GO NEAR THE BIRDS...she may in advertently frighten them badly with flipping around bed sheets and blankets too making them up and changing them...and cleaning agents are toxic. You might just ask them at the desk for this reason if the maid would just leave the sheets on the bed and you will change it yourself..and what to do with the ones you take off the bed. Id also leave a BOLD note on the bed for the maid and cleaning service regarding this also in case the desk doesnt do it....and also another in the bathroom in case they start there...

Also be very sure your cage door and feeder doors have LOCKS on them...and the tray at the bottom is SECURED with strong tape...like duct tape all thru your travels...so you may want to pick up some duct tape ..

One more thing ..becuz water varies from place to place bring a jug of water from home to use instead of water where your going.

Hi I traveled ALOT with my bird(s) through the years.
All the above is 100% Leave the Notes. So Important.

The Maids do open the motel doors. And they will want to
peak at the cage/bird who knows? I also leave the cage
covered 1/2 part way so my bird doesn't get scared.
Cage LOCKED! Yes! I leave the TV on low too.

The cage secured is so important and we never know what
can happen? Once I was carrying the cage and I FELL-
I flew (not my bird) Oh dear But thankful cage was secured
and clipped and had tape on bottom.

The nicer Hotels will work with you pretty much in what you want.
We always look at the room first and check for fumes ect.
MOTELS are noisy and we try to get a room in quite areas.

If we're traveling in the car? we always make sure which side
the Sun is going to shine in and we cover ect. & pay attention
to those things. and when getting gas and car filled up.

So many things to pay attention to when vacationing with our birds.
Also in the Rooms? the AC can get too cold ( depends) we always
make sure everything works right. The nicer HOTELS are usually
pretty good with the settings working fine.

I found later I hated leaving my bird(s) in the room while
we were out to Breakfast or dinner alone. Had room service/take out
sometimes to be with them. Seems our birds did enjoy
having fun with us (in the room) and we have alot of
fun & good memories of that. Not that much fun driving ha crazy

Whose birds are they ...ARE THEY YOURS...??? You cant leave them out traveling either, BUT you can keep better control over them...YOUR BIRDS ...YOUR RESPONSIBILITY...i dont know why you keep backing off this issue.

Im glad your safe and so are the birds...now please stay safe and use good logic and common sense and remember also you cant control things when you not in the room... things get stolen...have the sheraton people lock any valuables in their safe for you. Make sure the birds are not near the air conditioners when riding in the car or in your room too...
