i hear people get finches..but do they actully perch on your hand or not?

society finches CAN be trained, but it isnt very common.

Most finches are sensitive and are a "look not touch" sort of pet.

One of the women who work's at a bird store I frequent rescued a newly hatched baby Zebra finch that the parents kept pushing out of the nest.

She hand fed it. Its so cute, it comes to her when called, sits on her hand, shoulder, wherever. Obviously bonded with her as the parent.

My understanding is though that finches are for watching and enjoying!

I'm really, really tempted to get another flight cage and get finches.

Yah..i figured something liek what u said..


no offence but i am not the person to get animals and have them as Furniture i wouldn't buy a goldfish..if i got one i would take it home, but it's nothing i would buy..

yah that's cool i am sure that most finches don't sit on your finger but like cyperbud said i am sure a few would come to love you like any animal...
