a while back, several of us discovered we have the same toy and our male keets were very "turned on" by it. it is the one that is like a little green door with a white keet bobble head in the doorway with a yellow perch coming off of it. when i saw my baby boy marble, "gettin' busy" with it i thought... my little boy is all grown up. smile frown after a while... i i got tired of feeling like a peeping tom, so i took it out. marble never showed a sign that he missed it or molested any other toys. i had it out for about 3 wks. i put it back in this morning and in approximately 90 sec, he realized it was back an was as "busy " as ever!! does this toy maker realize they could possibly have the solution to getting non co-operative males to breed?! LOL!!

ROFL 90 seconds to gettin busy!! Poor Marble must've been really missin his "lady friend" !
Don't know about it being a solution to getting those "uncooperative" males to breed..unless of course you're lookin to make plastic budgies?? haha
So...did you leave Marble's little friend in the cage or take it back out?

ach... i just left it in. if he gets to the point where he is starting to make his wing feathers ratty again, then the toy will mysteriously vanish once more!

my male keet gets busy with this pastic perch i have that has plastic leafs. sometimes he gets really into it. and the female bird sometimes chases him off and i they start fighting (sometimes). or sometimes after he leaves, she goes and looks around the perch and stuff.... idk, its weird.

i'm not sure if red (marble's "significant other") is male or female. red is albino but i think is female. they are together constantly preening and feeding each other but i haven't really seen any "come hither" (LOL!) postures from red! red is the older of the two by about maybe, 4 mths i'm guessing.
btw... is the perch yellow by any chance? just curious. smile
