a man used his bb gun to kill the family pet, an afican grey parrot they had for 20 yrs !!!!!!

how do you have a pet for 20 yrs yet feel so little for it that you torture it to death ?!?!?!?!?!!?!

Cripes! -- and his lawyer is blaming it on the guy's alcohol problem? Does anyone in this country take any responsibility for anything anymore? Aaarrgg...

Well, at least they're pressing charges against this guy, instead of just letting it slide. I feel sorry for the son and the wife, as well as the poor bird.

Sadly, this kind of thing happens all the time. Do you know there are more reports of spousal/child abuse during major sporting events? And that the perpetrators of the crime frequently say that they were intoxicated and "didn't mean it".

This was the first one I heard of a bird being the victim. Poor, poor fellow.

I believe that "I was drunk" does not absolve anyone from any crime, nor eliminate the need to accept punishment for it.

That's just sickening. And you're right skipperdog, it's does not make them any less at fault for the crime. I do hope he gets his.
