I bought my keets a birdy kabob toy; short sections of bamboo filled with soft wood, strung on thick fibrous twine. I tied it to hand vertically in the cage, and at first they weren't interested. Then, I laid it horizontally on top of the cage, and they are all busily picking at the wood. They have got one section hollowed to the depth of an inch in about a day.

Busy birdies!

Sounds really cool... Got a pic or a link to it?
Sounds like it would be right up Ziggy's alley!
Isn't it great when you get them something they actually LIKE? LOL

Here is a link. I bought it in a local shop, though. They are having a super time with it, though I think it is intended for larger birds. This is why I laid it on its side; so they could get at it.

My parakeets LOVE those, I hang it in the cage and in about 4 days it is chewed to pieces. I got one for Princess but she ignored it
