Lisa Shea Forums Parakeets Off-Topic for Parakeet Owners Looney Luna's mommy had her human baby..pics

I had Colin Joseph on Thursday July 9th @ 4:34pm. I was induced, went through 15 hours of labor(with an epidural for 12hrs of it) but ended up having a c-section due to my uterus being too small to contract around the baby...which is also why towards the end, the epidural stopped working...it hurt..oh it hurt and I was nauseus and throwing up until they gave me meds for that. I almost flatlined due to the mixture of the meds and the stress my body was under. I had a c-section and it all worked out. Now I have the lovliest little boy...here are some pics.

it is amazing what maternal instinct does for us, no matter how horrible labour is, if given the choice, we'd do it again to have that little person finally in our arms.

Sorry about your c-section. It isn't any fun, especially after laboring all that time. After we go through it, we all know why it's called "labor" and not, say, "picnic". I agree with you that a healthy baby and a healthy mommy are the most important outcome.
