I need some advice on finding something to protect my carpet. Jack & Max have a purple/pink mineral block in their cage. Jack has just recently discovered it and has eaten almost half of it in the last week or so (She's eaten so much of it her whole little face is now pink instead of white it's SOO CUTE!!) Anyway---I need something to cover my carpet so that it doesnt stain, as the dust residue doesnt vaccuum up. I don't think a seed catcher would do the trick - what do you guys think?

I'll try to take some pics of her as its precious, but she likes to run when she sees that box mama clicks at her

at almost any home improvement store you can get the thin adhesive back runners (like the ones used for a new house open house). It is like a huge sheet of scotch tape - you could put it in the places that need protecting. Then just change it when it gets tattered. If it is not in a traffic area - you may not have to replace it very often at all.

Personally, I would just get rid of the colored blocks and stick with natural ones. The coloring is not so great for them anyway.

I don't know that I have seen any that aren't colored. Can i get them at my local pet store?

I always have just regular cuttlebone in their cage for them as well
