Hello, my name is Monique and I am from SoCal,living in the high desert and loving it.

I am a stay at home mother of 3 human kids and many fids!
I have 4 cockatiels...Gonzo (male pied), PeeWee (male pied), Puff (male whiteface) and Stubby (male pied).
I have had Gonzo, PeeWee and Puff since they hatched. They are almost 3 years old now. They were raised by their parents Stubby and Sugar (no longer here), parent fed...and handled by me everyday since they were a week hatched. They also had another baby in that same clutch who we named Lard..lol. She is a lutino. I gave her to a very good friend of mine. We visit her often.
They are all incredibly tame and spoiled as can be. I think that they think they are human sometimes! I love them!I also love my Stubby who is about 6 years old. His name is stubby because of one of his toenails that never seems to grow.

I also have 4 keets....Sky, Snowflake who are the proud parents of Toasty and 1 unnamed who is still in nest. Sky and Snowflake were given to me by a neighbor who no longer wanted them. I gladly took them in since I have the room. About a year ago I had my hubby build a birdroom that is an like a totally enclosed patio just for my fids.

I also have an 8 year old GSD and a 60 tank of tropical fishies. Oh, and I cant forget hubby who at times feels like he is my fourth kid!

That is a little bit about me. Nice to meet you all! I look forward to learning more about keets from everyone.

Hello I am new to this and my family is also. My family consists of my husband and myself along with two boys ages 11 and 15 years of age. My 11 year old is an animal lover and he has in his room a fire belly toad and a leapord gecko. We had a dalmation dog for 12 years and we had to put him down in March, this was the hardest thing we wver had to do. We got our first parakeet right before we lost our dog and my husband thought a bird was not a pet to have but let me tell you he is at the cage and talking to them as soon as he gets home from work. Like I said we got our first one named Tweety back in March and we just got another last week and named that one Paco. They see mto get along fine and are very active, alert and chirp. I have one concern and that is Tweety will go over to Paco and peck or grab his foot and kind of tug on it is this normal? They are in the same cage and we get them out and play with the m all the time. Do I need seperate food dishes for them I have not seem Paco in the food dish yet(we just got him on Sunday)He has been eating the millet spray. THey seem to be happy. Any advice will be greatly healpful. I have always loved birds and I would love to have a cockatiel or a conour(I hope I spelled that right). Thank you I will have t oget some pictures posted then.

i am having to find my sweetie a new home. she is just NOT warming up to my hubby, after 6 months of us trying to work with her. it isn't fair to him. so he said she has to go. it's okay tho, we will get another puppy later that WILL love my hubby as much as me and our daughter. gotta be patient in finding the perfect one. maybe this summer or fall.
