Thank you everyone, today my first egg hatched, the baby is seems to be doing well. here's a pic...

but I have a couple of questions...1. I need to clean the box it's been couple of days, but the baby seems so fragile I am scared of touching. I have also read if you touch the baby mother stops feeding them. I have bought the formula just in case she needs help. but I don't know how to change the sheet, Please tell me how to go about it??? urgent!!! cuz I think I am going to have one more hatch tomorrow, if you look carefully at the egg near the head of the baby it has a crack in it. so please tell me how to be carefull and be clean at the same time???

Oh how precious! I've never bred keets so IDK about cleaning nest box etc. But I do know it's a myth about mom abandoning them if you touch them. There was a thread about cleaning nest box here not too long ago. I'll try to find it and in the meantime my responding will bump this up so hopefully someone with know how will see it and respond.
And congrats!!!!

Thanks Kksuns, but it's too late, the baby died. I should have just followed my instincts, and go clean without thinking twice...I just pulled out the dead keet and cleaned the box, mother just went right in, she kept coming out of the box, past hour, and was screaming out, but I didn't realize it was to get my attention. I thought she came out to get the food, but she didn't she came out to get my attention to get the baby out. I don't think the father is feeding her. it seems as though she lost quite a bit of weight. she seems a little to skinny from before. IDK if that's normal, but maybe I am use to seeing her chubby cuz she was getting ready to lay eggs.
but neways it's too depressing for me right now. I hope it all works out well with the next ones.

please if someone can answer....SHOULD I START HANDFEEDING FROM DAY 1?? OR IS THE BABY TOO YOUNG TO COME OUT OF THE NESTING BOX. i DON'T THINK MOTHER WILL FEED, SINCE THE FATHER ISN'T HELPING. WHAT SHOULD I DO???
