Emily has been miffed since we went away last weekend. My good friend, who adores her, looked in on her 3 times a day. Since then I've had a difficult time getting her in the cage before I go to work.

Today she has done something she's never done before...flown up to the cathedral level windows 18' up! She's quite proud of herself & won't come down. I've put her cage in the living room with millet and favorite toys. She's having to much fun watching the world go by. Grrrrrrr.......

I hope she comes down before I have to leave for class in a few hours. On the plus side she has dusted two window sills for me.

She finally came down when I left the room and went to work on the computer. Now if she will just go back in her cage when I have to go downstairs!

I know someone who is getting her wings clipped a bit this weekend. Just enough so she can't gain altitude!

Wow! 18 feet??!! She must"ve felt soo- IDK -freeee! If that was her 1st time, I wonder if she was scared to come down? Actually pretty cool for her smile but I wouldn't want her way up there either.

Yeah, with 18' ceilings, I don't think I would have to think twice about clipping! LOL

She came downstairs on my shoulder and flew right to her cage. We've had Emily since January but this is the first time she's left my shoulder to fly around in any space other than the room where her cage is. I think she was really surprised! Wing clipping on Saturday.

Our house is nowhere near mansion size! Just an average 3 bedroom. It's silly and inefficient how its designed. The ceilings in the front of the house go all the way to the second floor. If they had put a floor where the ceiling should be in the living room I could have had another room on the second floor...instead just unusable space to heat.
