wow - you are a busy girl. Congratulations on the new birds. As far as getting eggs - not having anything that could be used as a nest seems to discourage breeding. Also changing their cage around every couple of weeks so the female doesn't get so comfortable with her environment to breed. Something else that seems to help is keeping their day a little shorter than their night - you know early to bed and sleep late (lucky birds).

I know nothing about putting a love bird with keets. It sounds like it has been working. I don't think that it is recommended.

Great to hear from you again - I was just thinking about you the other day and just figured you probably had your hands full.

I love the color of the lovebird...it looks like a black-masked lovebird with a sea green coloring...beautiful!! The other keets are gorgeous too! If the lovebird and the keets have been living together and are getting along, it shouldn't be a problem. I have to watch mine while playing b/c the one keet and LB like to nip at each other feet at times. Lovie would love to be social with my Charlie, but she's kinda anti social and when lovie get's close she starts her ack ack and he backs away. Every situation is different, you will just have to keep an eye on them while they play. Good luck!

BTW there's a few of us on here that have both lovebirds and keets and i am sure they will offer their advice as well.

I would worry a little about the lovebird being in the cage with the keets but if he's been with them for a year then I guess they are ok. I would keep an eye on them though. Lovebirds have big beaks and think they are large parrots so they tend to pick on other birds.
Kariva is right about the food. Your lovie will need a hookbill food. Mine eats cockatiel food and pellets.
You will also need to be careful what toys you give them. Don't put toys sold for parakeets in with the lovebird. They break too easily. I found this out the hard way when Jack broke a bead off Happy's flower cup. I had to pry the half a bead out of his mouth.
They are all so beautiful BTW. Are they hand tame?

Great to hear from you, Suzzie. Your new birds are all beautiful -- especially the nearly-all-white female. By the way, it seems like Stormy and Hope could use some more toys. Otherwise they all look very happy.
