I don't know...just tried it with Jasper today myself. He kept trying to get away from it. eek

I also got a bird bath/dish type that you put in the bottom of the cage. Lisa has a page on here about training them to use one of those. I'm going to try that, see if that works. (If he ever quits looking at it like its an alien ship that is going to get him laugh )

Maybe someone else knows if they get used to being misted....

Do they have a bath tub? Some birds prefer to bath themselves lol. You could also try spraying the mister from above their cage, not at it, if you don't already do that. My keets have always loved being misted but my tiel used to HATE it. Then one time when I tried it on him again he loved it! I don't know why he changed his mind but maybe yours will if you try it just once in a while.

Many birds don't like being misted because they feel like you're trying to hurt them. It can hurt your bond with them in some cases. Do not keep spraying them if hey run away from them. But yes, it takes time for them to like it. They may all of a sudden fluff up and stay in one place while you're misting them one day.

What kind of bath do you have for them, Cody? Is it one of the little bath with the mirror on the bottom? if so, then many keets don't like to use those because they can barely fit inside of them. And the water all falls out once they get in the bath. It's pretty useless, in my opinion. I have one and use it as a water bowl for when they're out of the cage.

As for a different bath, these two work very well. This one attatches to the side of the cage: http://www.drsfostersmith.com/product/prod_display.cfm?pcatid=16514 and this one attatches to the feeder doors of most cages (I have this one and my birds all love it and have loved it since I first put it in): http://www.drsfostersmith.com/product/prod_display.cfm?pcatid=18931
