Angela is a chicken that i have raised ever since she was a chick  . and now she is sick  . with chickens its very hard to tell what kind of sickness they have, and how sick they are, because almost all chicken illnesses look alike. we have a vet appointment for Angela at 2:30pm today. right now its 11:30am.  she hasn't moved ever since yesterday, and she keeps opening her mouth. she won't eat either. it doesnt sound very good does it.

ok. just came back from the vet.
Angela has a respiratory infection. she got a shot,and the vet gave me some pills which will last for 10 days. she has a 50/50 chance to survive, and the vet said that alot of chickens will be back to normal in 24 hours. we'll see how it goes.

she ate and drank, but she doesn't look any better.
she didn't mind at all taking her pill though. I'm hoping she will be like that the rest of the 25 pills she will take!

Angela is much much better!
She no longer has to gasp for her breath, and instead of sitting in one place for the whole day without eating or drinking, shes scratching around…eating…drinking…and, now she thinks that us giving her her pill, is a big game………………..
