I believe most of mankind need something or someone to believe in;weather it be God,Jesus or some sort of higher power.the medicial field has even begun to look into spirital matters in connection with people dealing with recovery from illness.their finding state that people who hold deep spirital believes tend to do and mend much fastr then those who don't.they don't understand why this is the case but it is.God bless America,a country where people can choose to make their own decisions on the matter.as for me and my family we will serve the Lord. He's been too good to my family and myself to do other wise.
when you wish upon a star, you pray you wish comes true.

On human value:
I think we give ourselves as much value as we feel we are worth. Personally, I feel I am as valuable as any other living organism on the planet; no more, no less. Just because I am human does not mean I am worth more than a dog, a pig or a goat. True, I am of great value to those who love me, but how can I say I am loved more than a father goat by his kids? I can't.
As a race (the human race) we esteem ourselves above all other life forms. Our accomplishments amount to little considering the great ones that have gone before us are barely remembered beyond a few generations after their great accomplishments or thoughts.
Just as the dinosaurs are looked at as a pile of bones, our accomplishments here on earth must be held in perspective.
Not that this amounts to much.

I agree with you big bad momma. My house will also serve the Lord.
Argyll, as a former believer, I know you would understand that the reason we are above the animals is because of our soul which scripture claims animals don't have. I tend to prefer animals to people at times so I pray that I will see my pets wherever I spend eternity. I know my life has been made the richer for the various pets I have owned.
Blessings,
Emilie

you have attacked me PDM. You just do not give up do you? You dislike me because I am friends with Helwa and have brought up her name. That is why you cannot leave me alone.

I first heard about the Wicca driving out evil spirits on the Discovery Channel on a show called Hauntings. I was curious about Wicca so I went on a website about it. I saw that this practice uses herbs.
I am glad I read about Wicca myself, because it cleared up my misconceptions about it. It does spread peace. Does Wicca worship gods, or does it teach reincarnation? I am just curious.

Is there an "ignore" button that you can click on for persons whose posts you dont wish to see?
LL - Recently here an RC congregation had a "bless the animals day". What would be the point of blessing an entity with no soul? I dont expect you to necessarily know the workings of the RC's, but perhaps you could shed some light on this apparent contradiction for me.

Spooky Mark if you want to refrain than refrain. You do not have to keep repeating that you will refrain and than mention about an ignore button.
What is wrong? Have I offended you? We are not supposed to get offended on here remember.

Oh Im not offended at all. Quite the opposite in fact. To be honest, I feel quite justified and vindicated, smug and contented.
You have a wonderful day

Koko requested here that her profile to be removed. As per that request, Lisa complied.
