Lisa Shea Forums Parakeets General Parakeet Chat THEY ATE THEIR VEGGIES!!!

I had been hanging leafy greens with a clothes pin for a while now and they've just been licking the water off the leaves. -_- Yesterday I heard Kirby take a bite in the veggie and chew! It was sooooooo cool! I came back from a sleep over today and the whole darn leaf was gone!!

Idk what happened to it, but I certainly thought didn't think they ate it. I looked all over the floor and it wasn't anywhere! Next, I see Kiwi trying to eat what remained. So quickly went to get some more and now both of them are all over it! This is sooooo exciting!

Anyone wanna share their bird eating fresh food for the first time stories?

It's some sort of Chinese veggie. 'Cuz I'm Chinese, so we eat Chinese veggies ... lol and I cut it up into fun stringy strips.

I can't get Sonnet to eat anything but seeds....and we have given her everything we can find that is "safe" for her...but I quit given her millet for a while because her training is going good and I want to us it to help her "step up" on my finger....I feel mean...but it is the only thing that gets her attention....
