Well if you had checked my other post on "general parakeet talk" you would have seen my terrible happening

That picture proves everything. I tried everything i could but he still did not make it. I posed my emergancy call but before any one could respond he died.

I now am tring to find the crimal and make him or she pay. He will be remembered because he was going to be a christmas present for my grandfather. Sorry to tell you this horrible death on such a happy day for most of you.

I'm very sorry that the baby bird died, but you cannot make another bird 'pay'. Birds are birds ~ they do what they do.

If there was any risk to any baby, then it should have been kept apart from bigger birds.

Perhaps you didn't have time to get a vet's opinion.

I am certain Prettyboy is devasted and distraught , if he loves birds as we can see from his action then he would never hurt another helpless tiny creature. I think he is just expressing his anger over the matter. Breeding birds is a tricky matter, I wouldn't take it on, as rewarding as all the things that go right is there are so many things that can go wrong and they can be devastating.

Prettyboy please don't take it out on the other bird its a natural thing that birds do. You know the bird that died could have had something wrong with it that you did not even know about and birds know. In the wild they do kill off birds that have problems. I see this all the time with my outside bird houses I will find dead babies every once in awhile.
It was horrible what you found and I know I would have went crazy myself if I would have had that happen. Hopefully you can go on and enjoy the rest of the birds. Could you buy your grandfather a bird?

Dont worry i would never do any wrong to a bird. In this case i could not even find the killer i thought it would be easy Female middle age, Jelous , bloddy beack but this one covered up really well. If i do find the killer don't worry i would do like the last time sell it or put him or her into quarintine but NEVER do any wrong. I also found an other bird for my grandfather so its ok but i still could not believe what happened.

Good for you I did not think you would have the heart to harm one of your birds anyway. Its just sort of heart breaking to have to deal with it. Probably would be a good idea to keep a close watch on everyone for awhile and you may have to hand feed if they are not weaned.
The females will sometimes also kill their mate after they have the babies. Why I don't know as the male helps to feed the female. These things are common with birds so about all we can do is hope for the best when your breeding your birds.

this is just awful ... im so sorry you had to go through this ... really icant imagine how i would handle it i had a mama cat of mine kill one of her kittens once ... i mean she went after it and just killed it ... the vet said the mom probally knew their was something wrong with the kitten and cut it short.

i would seriously and strongly suggest you separate all of your birds into separate spaces ... so that which ever bird did it doesnt get the chance to do it again ...

It seems really strange with all of the blood that the other bird did not get any on it. Did you look under the lower beak on the neck on your other birds for traces of blood. That is where they would not have been able to preen and get rid of it. I sure hope you are able to find out which one it is.
