Ok so i'm takeing my keet Lily tomorrow to my local vet! They take keets! and i was wondering if wut they do is at a good price?
Nails clipped- 7 Beak Trim- 13 Wings clipped- 12 Check up- maybe 34 dollars for each bird!
I asked how much would it cost to bring in 3 keets..... she told me that it would maybe a lil over 34 dollars b/c the birds are rather small but it may depend on the vet that sees them
Deal? or NO Deal?

I think the wing clipping price may be a bit steep. They probably don't need the beak trimming and may not need the nail trimming. The $34 for a check-up is reasonable.

Whoa... I hadn't seen Lily's beak before. Yes, Lily does need a beak trim. The others don't. My vet tries to charge $15 for wing clipping. There is a bird store near me that charges $2.50. I either go to the bird store or do it myself. 6 Bud Nut $40 is absolutely sickening!!

lol!! i know what u mean! I know it's cheap for 12 dollars but i think i can maybe clip them myself!! haha!! nails too! even tho it take a minute to get hem to hold still! but after that they're ok.... maybe next week or later i'm going to get them all check ups! but as for right now i'm just getting Lily's beak trim b/c thats all i have money for at the moment! And i'm going to ask tomorrow if Lily is a girl or boy and come back home and tell everyone how ma birdie did!!

Have the vet clip the wings and have her teach you how to do it. I don't know if I would clip their nails. There is a fair amount of risk in doing that because you can easily clip a blood vessel. I personally take them in to get that done.

well you really need to educate yourself on how to clip befor attemping it yourself, because they need to be clipped in a certain direction also only certain feathers get clipped and your risking clipping a bloodfeather you should really have your vet show you how to do it the first time.
