Hi, when i bought my bird i thought i chose a male, but I'm not sure now. I thought males had blue ceres and females had brown ceres. My bird had a light blue cere when i got him, but now the bottom of his cere is turning brown? Here's two picture of him.

its really hard to tell from these pictures you need to really try to get some LIGHTER LIGHTER PICS lol those are wayyyyyy too dark but so far its looking male but im guessing around like 5% lol

ide say that you definatly have a boy. but i could be wrong because its still dark, but it just seems to have way too much blue on the cere to be a girl. if the see is dark blue then its a boy. no doubt about it. evan if it has a little bit of brown. girls normally have a white cere or tan cere sometime with a tiny bit of blue towards the bottom ill show you a pic to show you what im talking about. ok this is a female

and evan if it is purpleish looking its still a male. it has to be really almost completly white or REALLY dark brown or completly tan to be a female. or white tan. not blue/tan. lol i hope thats not confuseing. but all in all it looks like a male to me. i would say now that you lightened it up 90%sure that its a male. but its still dark. and lighting can really play with the colors of the cere in pics. so i dont want to say for definate and be wrong ya know?

if you could get a really clear pic, like as if we were really looking at him/her then i would 10000.0000000.00000 % be able to tell you the sex but the lighting of your pics makes it really difficult. im sorry.

mmm this is the best i could do. i tried flash, but the close-up flash looks like a big white blog.
