I have purchased on ebay quite a few times, and from what I understand ebay is supose to be cracking down on the sellers who for example sell something that weighs 1 lb and charges 20.00

you really have to watch and read all the details and ask the seller questions, the majority are willing to help, and decide if the total price including shipping, handling and the item are going to be less than you can find elseware. The majority of the time I check prices in stores before hand, then do a web search for the item to see what others are getting and if ebay is a better deal I go with ebay

The best way to pay for things on ebay is via PayPal, you can use your credit card, or do an e check via a checking account plus more such as send money to anyone with a email address which came in handy when my son was at school smile
some sellers will allow you to pay by personal check also, but this way takes much longer and all are not always willing.

I have never been ripped off on ebay and happy with everything I have purchased

i havent gotten a cage from ebay, but i got something else from it that is just fine!

actually, my CELL PHONE is frome ebay! i got one for xmas and it was stolen out of my locker a month after. it was worth $200 but we got it for $50 cuz we started the new service. to replace it we would have had to pay $200, but we got a lightly used one off ebay for $75 and it is just fine! i trust it, just make sure it isnt just a trick.

i believe if you register on ebay and then set up a paypal acount it is much safer than jsuut using your credit card.

That's why you should use paypal. If the person doesn't send the item you bought, you can make a claim and it has to be answered within one month.

I buy lots from eBay (mostly clothes and little things) and I've never gotten ripped off. I guess I just know who to buy from.
