It was originally used to subdue the white, poor peasants in Europe for the land owners, knights and kings, and later it was found to be useful to subjugate the black Africans as well as other indigenous populations. I heard a quite which went something like this: No, I do not hate your religion. I do not hate you Christ: I love your Christ. What I hate is how you Christians don't act like your Christ. There are many, many, many people who call themselves Christians, who claim to be Christians, and do things utterly non-Christian. IN history I cringe to remember how many Catholics in earlier time periods would try to force 'barbarians' to 'convert', how 'witches' were burned on the stake by people who claimed Christianity. there are many instances in history for such wrong treatments; slavery as one of them. Plantation owners thought it was perfectly okay to keep other human beings as property because the Bible ordered slaves to obey their masters; ignoring the verses such as 'love you neighbor as yourself,' meaning treat others like you'd want to be treated. God simply wanted Christians to trust Him and respect the authority of others. He did not think slavery was right, but He wanted us to humble ourselves anyway; 'turn the other cheek'. That is a pet peeve of mine. The Bible says many are called and few will be chosen; there are many who label themselves with the name, but few actually obey God's word and are true Christians.

By their actions, partially, though there are many religious people who go through all the motions and who don't actually know God personally; which is essental and vital for true Christianity; as that is the whole reason you are to be a Christian: to get to know God/Jesus/Holy Ghost personally. And we are not supossed to judge; its between God and that person.

But what about when God behaves ~ apparently, that is, according to the Bible ~ in ways that we think are unacceptable.
How can we judge 'Christians' by their 'good' actions, when 'God' supposedly is responsible for 'bad' actions?
Examples: ~ Slaughtering Amalekite babies, old people, sick, mentally ill, children, pregnant women, nursing mothers, etc, etc?
~ Causing, or allowing, a very good & loyal man like Job to suffer ~ just to test his loyalty.
~ Considering Lot and his family to be good people when he willingly offered his daughters to strangers for sex, and they, in turn, got their father drunk in order to seduce him.
~ 'Punishing' David by killing his infant son.
If Christians behaved like this, we would say that they were not 'good Christians' ~ yet they would be following the example of God, as described in the Christian holy book.

Spacecraft of the Galactic Federation of Planets (the heavenly host lead by Archangel Michael) will descend from the sky (heaven), "with the trumpet of God" (the sound of the spacecraft). I'm sure most people have heard of the many accounts of alien abduction of humans in which many of them are levitated into the air, inside of a beam of light that lifts them into a waiting spaceship hovering in the air. This, I believe, is essentially how the "Rapture" will occur: "Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the CLOUDS to meet the Lord in the AIR." In modern times UFOs have often had the appearance of CLOUDS, and they are certainly in the AIR. Erik von Daniken suggested this long ago! (Actually about 30 years ago).

But that is EXACTLY THE OPPOSITE of what Paul preached. Actions aren't important to be a Christian. All you need is a faith in Christ for salvation. That's the deal. You don't even have to be a nice person. So, anyone who professes faith in Christ is a Christian, no matter what kind of xxxx*** they are. You Christians can't have it both ways. Is it works or faith? And if a person isn't a Christian, but does remarkable works, why is that person denied a place in your heaven? The Christian religion is a fraud.

James was in favour of good behaviour, though, and, unlike Paul, he was a follower (and brother) of Jesus when he was alive.

I love the "Galactical Federation" theory!
At least it stands not a single millimeter behind the "Faith" thing.
And would explain the unexplainable!
Jehovah said to Moses, "Go to the people and sanctify them today and tomorrow. And let them wash their clothes." (Exo 19:10).
If you read the old testament substituting “disease” or “germs” for “sin” and “sterilize” for “sanctify” you will be surprised.
Was "Sin" uncleanliness?
If the Angels where ET's, they certainly would have been highly succeptable towards earthly deseases.
Was Moses only a Genius in Marketing Strategy?
If one looks at the Bible, especially at the ten Commandments, designed for selfrule, fellowship, devotion and accepting the ONE and only CEO, one President, it gives us a very different picture!
Religion teaches people to turn away from selfish, egoistic desires and turn to a "God" instead, which can be understood as to the common good!
And then from this point to the development all the way from 'the twelve tribes' to the societies of today, it's quite staggering, if not breathtaking!
Did early Cannibalism influence the path from the Ape to the highly intelligent homo sapiens?
Why did the lesser fit like the Cro magnum not succeed?
But is that, what we measure in units, which we labelled "IQ", really intelligence?
Is the world of today, as we have transformed it, really an expression of this "Intelligence"?
Or is it simply the result of lust, greed and envy?
Why we still have so much crime, wars, pollution, environmental destruction?
Unable to fight simple desease like the influenza, flue or the like?
Is the world we live in, only the mirror of our desires, of mankinds wants?
Was the "Garden Eden" this Planet? Before mankind started to 'utilize' it, to transform it with constructions like roads, buildings, traintracks, pollute the 'heavens' with aircraft, the seas with engine driven ships, the land with cars and all kind of machinery?
Was the 'Fall' from Paradise, eating the 'forbidden fruit' from the 'tree of knowledge' mankinds turn to his 'own will', to his intelligence and the thereof resulting knowledge?
Anybody read: "Christianity - The Origins of a Pagan Religion" by Philippe Walter?
"By cultivating friendliness towards happiness and compassion towards misery, gladness towards virtue and indifference towards vice, the mind becomes pure."
