Hey all! I have really gotten into Sci-fi recently, and have heard about an old series called the Twilght zone. before I go buy the DVDs, can anyone provide thoughts on the show?
I could have bought a color TV, but I chose an old black and white one. Deal with it.

Really good shows. Each episode was a visit "around the corner" into an alternate reality. Kind of like the Star Trek episode where the find themselves in a town like an old Western movie.
And there was a later series (later than the Twilight Zone), and I think a movie (or several) where the guy goes into a diner, and gets taken back into time.
One of my favorite episodes was when a guy thought he had died and gone to heaven. He had all the booze, women, and gambling that he had ever wanted. And he just kept on winning.
As he became bored, he asked his host about it, and said he kind of thought he'd like to go to the other place. His "host" asked him, "Where do you think you are?"
Marge is the love of my life.

I remember those shows. I loved them so much! I saw the reruns, but they were fantastic! I think that they were shown along with the show The Outer Limits.

They were excellent.. the B&W)Original series aired 1959–1964, then there was a first revival 1985–1989, then a very short lived second revival 2002–2003.

OOOH I liked them some where creepy , if you like a twist ending it's for u, one episode had a city burning up from the sun and a woman who was ill in bed and as you watched u heard it was kinda like the sun wouldn't set and it was eventually gonna kill off everything then she wakes up and the people are like the fever broke and she looks at them is it still snowing? And it's something like the second iceage coming. Dun Dun Dun duuuun.

Lately, Battlestar Galactica is fast becoming a cult favorite as well, IMO. The shows that Marge and I like the most - like West Wing, Studio 60, and BG, SG1, and Atlantis - we usually record so we can rewind some scenes. Can be heavy and intense.
Anybody remember the tv sereies "Beauty and the Beast?"
Marge is the love of my life.

Old episodes of 'Battlestar Galactica' are being shown over here now, possibly because the lovely Dirk Benedict is in 'Big Brother'.
