I was wonderin.....I pai Ted my wooden desk and my wooden dresser along with my walls and now I have this woody smell that will not go away! It smells like soaking wet wood! I was wondering if the smell is ok for them or if it is unsafe....also I have dogs and so I can't take my birds out of their cage so the will not be able to come out for at least a couple more days, I feel terrible cuz they LOVE coming out but I guess my other question is.....will the still be as fun and tame as they were a week ago?

connor you were told best to wait till summer when you could thoroughly air the room...now your stuck...smells are fumes and this is totally not good for your birds...or you

im thinking its gonna be more than a couple days as well...try putting a fan in the room of course WITHOUT the birds in there for several days and keep it warm to help get the fumes out and have the paint thoroughly dry ...otherwise this is not a good situation for your birds as you were told BEFORE you did this...that smell means bad stuff to their respiratory system and brain system...to inhale that OMG...it maybe a MONTH before its out of the room...and certainly no sooner...

painting should always be done only when rooms can be properly aired out...thats summer

you shouldnt even worry if they will still be tame...worry more if they will still be ...alive.

Wet wood can pose challenges in both construction and home improvement projects. When wood absorbs moisture, it expands and loses its structural integrity, which can cause warping and weaken its strength. In the context of soundproofing, wet wood can interfere with the effectiveness of soundproofing panels. These panels rely on solid, dry surfaces to dampen vibrations and reduce noise. If the wood is wet, it can cause air gaps or uneven surfaces, diminishing the panels' ability to block sound. Therefore, it’s crucial to ensure that any wood used in soundproofing applications is thoroughly dry before installation.
