My photo for the day - my origami lotus flower that I hand painted with watercolors, holding the text of the Bhagavad Gita

This sits right in front of me while I work - it's on top of my black printer. So you guys have seen two things that are "before me" here - the dragon and the lotus flower .

Here's my photo for the day - this pepper plant is several years old. It is "tree like" with bark. It had been thriving - but suddenly it just dried up. I'm wondering if it'll come back or if it's reached its end.

Lisa I spend quite a lot of time hunting mushrooms and I bought a DSLR just for it though I don't usually upload the pictures I do have some online that I don't mind to share though in order to make them "net-worthy" they have to be sucked dry so they are not such a load on the servers. Some of them are really cool.

Here's my photo for the day. This is the top shelf of my books in my office with its line of Tibetan prayer flags. The front book is "Only Companion" - a book of Japanese poems on love and longing.

I've reached 100 fans! Thank you all so much for sharing in my artistic projects. I'd love to hear more about what you guys are working on! My focus right now is on photography, watercolors, and origami. What is yours?

Tuesday was a busy day for me, but I did take this photo with my cellphone because I was struck with the beauty of the scene. It didn't quite come out well . But anyway, this is at Viva Bene in downtown Worcester. They have lovely blue lights down the side of the room, and with the artwork and seats it created a visual that appealed to me.

Here was my photo from Monday - it's a chain mail headdress I own.

Here was the photo from Wednesday, January 8th - a stoplight at a local bar .

Here's Friday's photo - of a singer getting ready for a gig - painting her nails at the bar's bar .



Saturday - a quiet scene at a memorial service, on a misty morning in New Hampshire.



Sunday - a love song in a lotus flower. The husband wrote a love song for his wife. I printed out the lyrics, cut them into strips, then watercolored them in shades of orange and yellow, plus green for the leaves. I folded it into an origami lotus flower.

Playing with #hdr photography - have you tried this style?

I just looked it up, Lisa. It looks really interesting.
