Hi,
I found an old bottle of wine in an Oak Chest at my grandmothers.
I would like to know more about this wine. I have no desire to try and drink it, however, there is no smell of vinegar and the wax seal over the cork is in tack. I cannot find even a reference on this wine anywhere.

Any thoughts????? I would post a picture but cannot figure out how to do that on this site so here is the info on the label ( all in French )

Vignobles de France
Marquisat
French white wine
Cotes de Provence 1978
Appellation Cotes de Provence Controlee
Pasquier Desvignes
Product of France The Buckingham Corporation

Domaine du Marquisat seems to be a drink-soon type of wine so I imagine this will be long past its drinkable date. You can go ahead and try if you want, for fun. It won't hurt you smile. It'll just taste acidic.

If I were you I'd have a party, have people try it, and then make the bottle into a keepsake candle or something like that.
