It shows you how far behind I am, I just realized I never posted my photos from my trip to Bordeaux last fall (2011). So about a year ago. I put up three photos in the album and will work on the rest in the coming days.

Has anyone else been to Bordeaux? What did you think?

Just looked at your Mouton-Rothschild picture.

Do they use a different label for wines kept at chateau? The bottle shown had a plain label and I always think of the artist's labels for Mouton.

Bit of an old post but the question was unanswered...

That wine was a barrel sample - i.e. they'd drawn some of the wine from barrel into a half-bottle for us to taste. The label is just a temporary sticker to identify the sample. In most wineries the bottle would be bare, but this isn't any winery -- it's Mouton!

The wine would be bottled later and then given the proper artist label
