Is anyone making dandelion wine in 2009? What recipe are you using?

We still have old "aging" dandelion wine - I will definitely push to get that cleared out so we can start with 2009! We don't have any dandelions yet, just a few crocusses.

Maybe we can start a dandelion watch to announce when we first see dandelions in our yards! Just remember not to use any pesticides.

You know we STILL do not have dandelions here although I just raked the leaves out of the side garden and am watching avidly for them. I did see some dandelions on the town grass near the post office so they are coming!

I don't do it by pounds but by cups of flowers, here are my instructions and recipes!

We have dandelions now. Do you pick them right away?

Yup! Just lop their little yellow heads off!

Very odd, we had hardly any dandelions this year! Which is fine because we STILL have the wine left to bottle from last year! I should give up on enlisting Bob's help and just do it myself (or pour it out) ...
