Wedding season is coming - I'm starting to get all the traditional questions about Champagne toasts! http://www.wineintro.com/champagne/champagnetoast.htmlA question I have is why do people spend a lot of money on delicious food but then buy the cheapest bubbly they can get their hands on?

I'm heading out to a friend's wedding in about 15 minutes - we will see how they handle the wine at this wedding! It is a very quiet, small ceremony so there might not even be wine, it's a lunch reception.

LOL ok they had water and coffee, and nothing else. So no write-up there on weddings and wine!

Well in comparison we went to a wedding in Ireland a few years ago. It was an afternoon wedding, we went to the inn for the reception and people began drinking as we started, drank straight through and were still going strong at 8am the next morning

LOL I'm sure the Irish felt their party was just right! I think I fell asleep about 3am ...
But yes I've found that different people have very different points of view about how much wine consumption in one evening is OK.

I find it goes in waves. For a while everyone is getting married, then for a while everyone is getting divorced In my group everyone has pretty much stabilized in whatever state they are in.
