My brother recently commented that it was impossible to grow wine grapes in New Hampshire. I have no doubt that he is mistaken, but I haven't been able to track down a nursery that might sell Cabernet Franc, which is one of the better possibilities. If anyone knows of a nursery that might sell Cabernet Franc in New ENgland or New York, please let me know.

He is mistaken. I have drunk a New Hampshire wine. Youmight want to show him this http://wine.appellationamerica.com/wine-review/48/The-Wineries-of-New-Hampshire.html

I thank you. I knew there had to be wine made in New Hampshire, but I neglected to search for them. I think that he really wanted the vines that I said I'd buy. I'll find some of those wines and let him see what he thinks.

It was from White Mountain -- you can see the label at www.winelabels.org/varietal.htm

I must have had it in the early 1980s, and in a restuarnat in New Hampshire

I haven't seen that listed anywhere. Do you have the address of the place? Lisa only mentions three wineries, and I have found three others, but that's among them, unless there is another name for the place.

I thank you. As soon as I get a chance, I will visit some of the New Hampshire wineries.
