Grasevina Wine Information

Grasevina is a white grape known primarily in Eastern Europe. It has many different names in different parts of this area. For example in Austria it is known as Welschriesling. It is NOT the same grape as Riesling, the well known German grape.

Grasevina creates a mild wine which is fruity / flowery. Some countries make a late harvest wine or a sparkling wine out of this grape.

In Croatia, Grasevina is the most planted white grape.

Here is a label from a Croatian grasevina.
