I doubt there's anyone here that lives that close... I know I don't but, you can probably search in your town... maybe hand him over to a neighbor, friend, relative? That would probably be the safest way.

it's just that i don't trust our neighbours and we all know, keets make some dirt...so it would be a burden for someone without having own keets. also i'm afraid, people without knowlegde would just grap them or letting them out without watching them. you know, they're our "babys" and you know you're obsessed with keets when....;-)

Well your relative/neighbor won't have to take them out or anything, just feed them and give them water and perhaps a bath. Plus it's easy to vaccuum the mess keets make!
Goodluck and have fun in Germany!
I'd love to help, yet I'm 1 1/2 away from Dallas/Fort Worth, depending on where you are, exactly.
I'm not sure if my parents would agree much, anywho... I'm 15, LOL! :p I'll talk to them and let you know.

Marion:
I live in Washington DC so I don't think I can help you, but I know that many pet shops will board them for you. Call around and see if you find a shop that specialises in birds and ask them. Also ask some vets, some of them offer boarding.

Gee this got me thinking how would you let people know that you would be a bird sitter? Do you think you would go to the pet store and let them know? Because I think I would be willing to do this.

Do you like in NC Pretty bird b/c I need a keetsitter too I am going to Sweden this summer for two weeks. I have to drive them 6 hours to my moms and I am not sure she could care for them responsibly, god only knows how I survived my childhood but of course I love her dearly! Anyways does anyone live closer then 6 hrs to me and would be willing lol They'd have to stay over

Looks like about 72 miles from here. You're maybe an hour and 1/2 from me. How many keets do you have? I have five and they're treated like our children! So they'd be in good hands for sure.

Ah ok it's closer then 6 for sure and since you have birds and my mom has never and mine are scared of her it might be better. I've got three keets and 1 'tiel. I'd have to meet you first maybe in Asheville (I have to go there every weekend no anyway for a yoga class) if you'd be willing. They'd have to stay at your house if you didn't mind? Though I might like meet your keets and I don't know if you'd like to see mine first or what.

I'm sorry Kesai, I've been super busy with a promotion at work and all...I guess I should have consulted with the rest of the occupants of my household before I offered to keetsit. I really wanted to - to me the more the merrier....but my hubby doesn't want me to do it.

He's more paranoid than I am I guess. Again I'm sorry I can't babysit.

Oh My God...I wrote a manual...do you want it? Even thought it was made for my birds/cage?
It takes a lot of paper/ink...
